- Your course-long assignment, as stated in the syllabus, has been: “By the final class, compile a list of [no more than] 25 Sondheim songs you would include on your own ‘Essential Sondheim’ playlist, album, or revue.” In order for us to easily share our collective appreciation of Sondheim, class member Sue Dennison has designed an online survey where we can easily submit our lists.
- First, it will help if you write up your list before going online. If you need a refresher, this website has a whole page of lists.
- When you’re ready to submit your list, go to this link: https://goo.gl/forms/B5zMKyhWDQlb2v0t1
- Once there, you will see all of the songs listed, by show, in chronological order, from West Side Story to Road Show.Simply check the box by each song you have chosen. There is space at the end of the survey to write in any songs you may have encountered that are not in the lists. (For example, they may have appeared in a film or have been cut from a show and therefore appear only in CDs of “Unsung Sondheim.”)
- VERY IMPORTANT: After you have checked all of your boxes, scroll to the very end of the survey and hit the SUBMIT button. You will see a message to the effect that your survey has been received.

- So that Sue will have time to tally your results, we’re asking that you submit your survey no later than next Monday, November 19. Since we have no class that day (OLLI Thanksgiving Break), when you wake up on Monday morning, just think “Sondheim Day again!” and submit your list if you haven’t already.
- I’ll see you again for Class 10 on Monday, November 26, 9:00, JRC. The Class 10 preview page will be up by Friday, November 23, with slide to follow on Sunday afternoon.
- I’ve really enjoyed teaching this class. Thank you for your enthusiastic participation! Alan
